Launched in September 2017, the “A Short Coffee Break” Short Film Festival was born as a special event that brought together the magic of coffee and cinema. Rispetto, Bosco and Kakule Kahve’s joint dream was to open their coffee shops to independent short films and bring them to moviegoers in a warm and friendly environment. Starting with a small organization, the festival quickly grew to become one of Ankara’s most important cultural events.
The third festival, which was finally organized in 2019, took place in 13 different locations across the city, bringing together both coffee and cinema enthusiasts. This event not only offered participants the experience of watching short films, but also the opportunity to participate in interviews with film directors, chat about cinema and discover new perspectives. The warm atmosphere of the coffee shops combined with the creative world of independent productions made every moment of the festival unforgettable.
Today, “A Short Coffee Break,” It is known as one of Ankara’s most special film festivals and has attracted a lot of attention both locally and nationally with its unique concept of combining cinema and coffee. The festival has become not only an event, but also a creative platform where new talents can showcase themselves and establish a direct connection with the audience.
